So today I weighed out & started to soak my dried fruits for the Christmas cakes… Now a little tip for y’all, when using glacé cherries a) use natural coloured as they’re more appealing to the eye & b) give them a little bath to clear them free of the sticky juice
Bet you are wondering why to bath them?! Well if you don’t the sticky juice residue will weigh them down in your cakes & make them sink to the bottom! I bath mine rather than rinse as I had 600g to do so it’s a lot easier to give them a bath rather than a shower!!!
